First Climbed in 1995
By Fred Nicole
Fontainebleau's most iconic boulder problem.
The classic photo of local legend Jacky Godoffe spotting Fred Nicole - sans pads and heel hooking in the slip on five ten moccasym - is etched in many a boulderers mind. A year later the line featured in the classic 'The Real Thing' film with Ben Moon making an early repeat.
The footholds may now be slicker and the crimp smaller - having been chipped by a local climber in 2001 - but the problem's allure remains.
